Whiskers on Kittens Boarding and Dog Grooming offers a variety of overnight cat boarding options for you to choose from. Our cat accommodations include:

Luxury private suites with or without windows. Our luxury private suites are approximately 60 square feet. These suites have climbing walls, cat trees and scratching posts for your cat to enjoy. The luxury suites with windows have a garden view and cost $40 per day. If you choose a suite without a garden window, the cost is $35 per day.
Standard Condos. Our standard four-tier condos are 9 square feet, which is more than enough space for your furry friend to feel comfortable and get in some exercise. These condos cost $30 per day. They have a perch, bedding area, a level for food and water and a basement litter box.
Large two-tier wire condos. Our large two-tier wire condos are 9 square feet and cost $25 per day.

Your cat will also get five to six hours of free-roaming a day. Please make sure to bring food with you when you drop off your cat. You're also welcome to bring any comfort items, such as special bedding, toys, or treats. We'll provide bowls for food and water, a litter box and litter.

Why Should I Board My Cat?

Unfortunately, cats typically do not travel well. Being confined to a carrier for prolonged periods of time can be stressful. And unlike dogs, they need a litter box. Hotels and new surroundings can easily overwhelm a cat as well.

Leaving your cat with friends can be just as unsatisfactory. Your pet will be in an unfamiliar home, with new sounds and smells that could cause discomfort. The risk of your cat escaping their temporary home is high, as they might try and make their way back to the house they know.

When your cat cannot be at home, the safest place for them is a cat only boarding facility. Where we have a stress free and cat friendly environment, and where the personnel are trained in observing and handling the problems which may arise in your absence.

Cats enjoy the "protected" feeling they get from staying in a condo unit while being boarded. We will let them stay in their condo for a few hours after they are dropped off, to become used to the sights, sounds, and smells of the facility.

Human contact does not necessarily accelerate this period of acclimatizing. It has to take place at the cat's own speed. A common reaction of cat owners to the idea of boarding is that their cat will want to immediately explore. But while he is in unfamiliar surroundings, his condo will give him a feeling of safety. And safety is our priority. But once your cat is comfortable and we see no signs of stress, we will offer for them to come out and socialize!
